User Activity Status

Set up and manage User Activity Status

User Activity Status indicates your activity status that is visible to everyone in your team. This can be observed in various places on the platform. The most apparent would be on the top right of the platform, where there would be a colored indicator beside your Avatar.

Another section where this can be seen is in the User Settings.

User Status

User Status is useful for your team to find out on a user's status before assigning a contact to them. Besides that, it also used for Automatic Contact Assignment where a new pending contact can be assigned to online users only.

There are three different statuses used to indicate the user's activity status in the platform

  • Online

  • Away

  • Offline

Change your status by pressing on the activity status indicator and select which status accordingly.

Online Mode

This status will indicate to your team members that you are available on the platform to answer messages. Making sure a user is online will help to resolve the contact's situation as soon as possible.

There is a setting in Automatic Contact Assignment that allows you to assign pending contacts to online users only.

For more information, read more on Automatic Contact Assignment.

Away Mode

This status will indicate to your team members that you are temporarily away from the platform. This mode can be useful when you need to take a short break in between.

Tips: If you need to access the platform but you don't want any contacts to be assigned to you, you can use this status to inform your colleagues or bypass the Automatic Contact Assignment if enabled.

Offline Mode

This status cannot be selected from the status options as it will set automatically. When a user is inactve after a defined period of time, the status will change to Offline automatically. The same behaviour applies when a user logged out of the platform.

When you logged into the platform or become active, your status will revert to the previous status automatically.
